Concepciรณn Huerta is a multidisciplinary artist from Guadalajara, Mexico, who has extended her creative practice from visual media to sound design and music production. She creates captivating sound narratives, incorporating sounds of everyday objects, synthesizers and processed tapes. Her approach to sound reflects on the relationship between silence and noise, political space, and sound as a means of enunciation. Her work encompasses installations, spatialized concerts, speculative narratives, and immersive experiences.

Formed in the second half of 2022, Bazip Zeehok is a bit of an all-star band accumulating over 40 years of musical experience among each of its bandmembers, gained in a massive range of projects: G.W. Sok, mainly known as the former vocalist of The Ex, also performed with e.g. Zoikle, Oiseaux-Tempรชte, L&S, King Champion Sounds, Svรคtsox, Cannibales & Vahinรฉs, and Action Beat. Simonis performed with Dull Schicksal, Stepmother, Trespassers W, Coolhaven, Mothers of Exit, and many others. Prins performed with Gorgonzola Legs, VoltageSpa, M.i.m.e.o. Etcetera. Bazip Zeehok is their very first appearance as a three-piece. Late last year, they recorded 10 instant compositions with corresponding Dutch-language lyricism, to be performed live tonight.

Having grown up in Istanbul, composer and scholar Toraman currently resides in Berlin and is completing her doctorate in composition at Harvard University. Her compositions combine acoustic and electronic instrumentation and draw inspiration from, a.o. text-based media. At this Vrooom edition, Zeynep will be performing renditions of her electroacoustic / ambient album in 'In a Dark House'. Full of allusions to 19th century romantic music repertoire and imagination, this debut album brings together synths, field recordings, e-guitar, samples from a fortepiano and various string samples.
