Desert resident Derek Monypeny describes his performances as expansions
on the desert continuum, the psychedelic sirocco swirl of desert-based
stringed instruments. He will perform with the shahi baaja plus a few
effects pedals.
Mรกri
Mรกkรณ is a sound artist and composer who creates her own instruments to
produce unique and unconventional sounds in her compositions. Her work
has been described as avant-garde electronic and post-club. As part of
the Vroom concert series, Mรกri will debut a new performance featuring
her new stone sculpture, in addition to zither and processed voice.
Bergur
Anderson is an Icelandic visual artist, composer and sound-maker based
in Rotterdam — an electric troubadour playing with songs, poetry,
stories and world-making.
